The village of Valensole raises between Ste Croix sur Verdon,
Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and the Durance river at 590 meters height on the plateau with the same
name. Its territory stretches on more than 12.700 ha, therefore its one of the biggest villages
of France. In March almond trees are in flower upon the snowy Alps in the background. In July the
different blue colors of the lavender alternate with the gold of the wheat. During Autumn the ocher shades
of the labored fields play with the infinite purity of the blue sky. In Valensole to visit :
lavender distillery, bee museum or different crafts.
